In 1999, Captain David Marquet unexpectedly took command of the Santa Fe nuclear submarine. In one year, the captain would get to know the vessel inside of the boat. Santa Fe had been infamous for years - the last place in the ranking of the entire fleet. However, within 9 months, they were at the top of the ranking! How did they achieve such spectacular success? They introduced the Accountability Culture, in which each of the 140 crew members became the leader of their position, area, and process. They moved from Leader-Follower to Leader-Leader Culture.

The author not only engagingly described his experiences, but also presented them in the form of a ready-made model that can be repeated and applied in any organization.
This is how the "Intent-Based Leadership" methodology was created, implemented in Poland by the 4Results company. 4Results translated Marquet's book and published it in Poland under the title "Zmień kurs"!

He experienced how the change in the company's culture, which he led, translates into business results, commitment, and motivation of the team. For 8 years he was the president of the board of Sanofi Pasteur Polska, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 27 years in total. Currently, it supports leaders in unleashing their potential, based on the methodology of building a culture of shared responsibility.
He has implemented a DBAM culture in his organization, based on three basic values: autonomy, responsibility and trust. For 10 years he has been managing Groupe SEB (Tefal, Krups, WMF) in Poland, Bałtyk and Ukraine. Previously, he worked in various positions at Danone, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Kraft. Passionate about sport, especially cycling, tennis and Premier Leauge.

These 2 days gave me a lot. [...] Interesting missions, a lot of useful psychological and management knowledge: interpersonal relations and communication. I am very impressed with this workshop. I think it is a pioneering tool in Poland. It allows you to experience difficult missions in the conditions of a submarine simulation, showing how to apply the "Leader-leader" model of leadership. How to care for the effectiveness of a team, in which the captain and the team are present, but no directive management style is used I heartily recommend this method to all leaders!
